WTF is breathwork?

Breathwork is a catch-all term for practices that manipulate the breath to impact the nervous system.

Breathwork is a simple, yet powerful practice that can shift mood, energy, and emotion in profound ways. Through the breath we can calm ourselves down, hype ourselves up, and even transport ourselves to other planes of consciousness.

I can't tell you how often people say to me, "I didn't think I'd feel like this after breathwork." The "like this" can be anything from calm to exhilarated to focussed and everything in between.

Your breath is your superpower, but just like any superpower you need to practice using it to get the most out of it. The more you learn about how your body functions, and what your individual triggers are, the more empowered you will be to trust in the wisdom of your physiology.

Our bodies are our greatest teachers. When we become disconnected from our bodies we are more susceptible to overworking and burnout. ⁠

Move your body. Listen to your body. Honour your body. ⁠
